Author’s Bio

Pa Louis Sambou Jr worked as a Military Police Investigator with the Royal Military Police (Her Majesty’s Armed Forces), assisting the Service Prosecution Authority prosecute criminal and Military offences. He served both overseas and in the UK before leaving Regular Service and signing up with the Army Reserves (Royal Military Police). He has a very good practical knowledge of volume crime investigation, crime intelligence and the laws of armed conflict.


Pa graduated from Nottingham Law school and his first legal employment was with Bhatia Best Solicitors where he worked in civil litigation, human rights & public law and, as part of the Independent Inquiry into historic Child Sexual Abuse, a Home Office public inquiry headed by Professor Alexis Jay OBE. Having left private practice Pa now works in Tax Litigation in the UK public sector (UK Civil Service). 


Pa co founded the Innovative Volunteers in 2015, a voluntary initiative to support and offer practical skills to disadvantaged Gambian school leavers. As someone with keen interest in human rights and constitutional law matters, he also co founded the Democracy Watch Gambia, a voluntary pro democracy advocacy entity of which he is a Fellow.
