Security Analyst diagnosis Barrow's threat as 'psychological behaviour', others

The Gambian-U.S. based criminologist has said that, President Adama Barrow is doing psychological behavour as a weapon to silence his critics in the country.


“President Barrow is doing psychological behaviour. As a leader if you lead with your ego and pride this happens. If you don't have your people analysing and assessing the situation, this is what always happens,” he said 

Modou Lamin Faye, a specialist on Law enforcement and national security matters said President Adama Barrow is using 'scare tactics' in the drive to intimate citizens in the country. 

"He start with a kind of scare tactics, if it does not work it will escalate into something. The more it escalates it turns into violence," He posited. 


In a telephone interview with The Outpost Media on Saturday, the security analyst said President Barrow is using the state media as a propaganda tool for his political gains. 


“He is using the media as propaganda to see what he can get,” said Mod Lamin Faye.


He added: “If you try to oppress people, at some point if you push them to the wall, they will fight back. This is what we've been seeing across the the region. Basically, in other countries they get tired of these leaders oppressing everybody. We are not going to sit and watch them slaughter us like sheep's. We are not going to do that,” he concluded

Mr Essa Dampha, the outspoken aide on media for President Adama Barrow, asserted that the President has the prospects of winning the 2026 election with a landslide.

He justified his argument on the basis that the President has achieved monumental gains in terms of delivery adequately responding to the plights of the Gambian People.

Mr. Dampha also described President Barrow as a problem solver, not a firefighter er, emphasizing that his principle is to investigate the genesis of the problem and find a duration solution to it.

“his development trajectory is more like a problem solver, not a firefighter. When there is a problem, he reacts quickly and finds out the root course of that problem. He worked on that and found a solution. He is a proactive leader.” he remarked. 

Reacting to the recent allegations of vote rigging by the NPP, Mr Dampha said the government has distanced itself from such irresponsible and baseless allegations. He commended the charismatic Information Minister Dr Ismailia Ceesay, who applauded him for changing the government information flow dynamics.
